Using this site

Shift Sums provides free calculators for educational and informational use. No account or sign-up is required, and there is no charge to use any page on this site.

Not medical advice

The calculations on this site use standard time arithmetic and the federal (FLSA) and California overtime rules as commonly summarised, not original research or a substitute for your employer's payroll system, your state's labour law or a payroll professional. Overtime and rounding rules vary by state, contract and policy, and pay shown is gross. Check the totals against your pay stub and raise differences with your employer.
